In keeping with the AME Church mission to "minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and environmental needs of all people," Pastor Teresa Nelson -- spiritual and pastoral leader of Parks Chapel AME Church has preached and taught the Word of God as well as managed and supervised church staff and programs.
For more than two decades Pastor Teresa Nelson has effectively ministered the Gospel of Jesus Christ, having now pastoring in Flagstaff, Arizona, Kansas City, Missouri, Phoenix, Arizona, and Oakland, California. She knows all too well that pastoring is not a simple calling and states "I’ve learned the hard way that anything that is worthwhile is bound to be a bitter battle."
The ministry of Pastor Teresa Nelson is highlighted with dynamic anointing. The word of God is central to her message and powerful in declaration. She has firm conviction that the presence of God is a place “Where Broken Vessels Are Made New.”
Besides being a spiritual leader and holding a strong presence in the West Oakland community, Rev. Nelson has had a distinguished career as an educator in Arizona, Missouri and California. In Phoenix she has served as assistant principal at Bethune Elementary School and principal of Dunbar Elementary School. She hold's a master's in education administration from Nova University and a bachelor's in education and Black studies from Ohio University.
Rev. Nelson is married to Wilbert L. Nelson, Assoc. Dean of Instruction, Phoenix College, and State President of the Arizona Conference of the NAACP. They have three God given children, Michael, Kim and Brandy and two Holy Spirit given children, Barbara and Tasha.>> EMAIL PASTOR NELSON <<
